The new millennium that has just begun is full of contradictions, on the one hand the economic reset planned by a few self-elected, an economic and technological growth that offers a few lucky ones great opportunities leaving millions and millions of people not only on the margins of progress, but struggling with living conditions well below the minimum due to human dignity with consequent migration of populations from the poorest areas of the planet stimulated by the migration policies of the UN Agenda 2030.
In the face of problems caused by the economic reset of such drama, it is necessary to become an active part in all ethical-social sectors, men of faith and good will have the arduous task of building the world by pomoting the social, economic, spiritual good of their fellow men in every place of our world.
The Philippines
The archipelago comprises 7,641 islands distributed across three main geographic regions: Luzon in the north, Visayas in the center, and Mindanao in the south. Since 1976, the capital has officially been Manila, with the government residing in the metropolitan area of Metro Manila. With an estimated population of nearly 111 million people, the Philippines is the 13th most populous country in the world, and another eleven million Filipinos live abroad. Various ethnic groups and cultures coexist on the islands of the Philippines, which are considered a newly industrialized nation; since their independence, the economy of the Philippines has been continuously growing. At the beginning of the 21st century, economic reforms were initiated that led the tertiary sector to overtake agriculture as the main economic activity and currently services account for more than half of the country’s GDP.
However, the Philippines still faces many challenges in the infrastructure sector, while also lacking adequate development in the tourism, education, healthcare and human development sectors.

SIL promotes immediate actions of the highest social interest such as socio-economic assistance works for the populations in the Philippines and in the world, especially in poor countries, without distinction of religious belief, race or culture, actively engaging, at the same time, also at an educational and cultural level through private and public organizations for the protection of young people, families, the right to health, education, for a recovery from social degradation due to the lack of adequate means of subsistence for a dignified life with the eradication of absolute poverty.
S.i.l. And S.G.S. has a priority, to create the conditions to solve the socio-economic problems of the Filipino people at the root.
